I’m very happy to hear this. I don’t want to be bashing Michael Jackson the day after he passed, but I must admit that his ownership of the Beatles catalogue always irritated me. I’m glad to hear that he made an effort to get the songs back to their rightful owner.
Yeah there couldn’t be any kind of revolution-like allegory the Iranian people could pull from these films, perfect choice.
Iron City Beer is Leaving Pittsburgh!?!
From The Wall Street Journal:
PITTSBURGH — The Steel City is losing its Iron City.
On Monday, the last batch of Iron City beer will be brewed at the nine-acre, red-brick brewery complex outside downtown Pittsburgh that was founded in 1861. Production will move 40 miles away to the Latrobe, Pa., brewery that once made another recently displaced regional favorite, Rolling Rock beer, now brewed in Newark, N.J.
The beer-making musical chairs reflects attempts by Iron City’s new owners to survive competition from global beverage companies and newer craft-beer makers.
So now Iron City will have that lovely Monongahala River after taste?

And that is the protesters on the street. If he were particularly striking in his comments about how Americans cannot help but love their brothers and sisters who stand for greater freedom and democracy in the world, all the better. The American people, after all, are not their government. Our sentiments are not controlled by the government, and this may be a timely moment to point that out, and remind the young of Iran, who are the future of Iran, that Americans are a future-siding people.
