Green Lantern: Emerald Knights Trailer (cross-posted w/nerdbastards.com) Yesterday we saw the release of the most recent DC Animated film, All-Star Superman (which I reviewed over here) and boom, just like that we’ve got the trailer for the next film. Green Lantern: Emerald Knights will be an anthology of tales, much like Batman: Gotham Knights, and will tell the stories of six of the most...

Xbox Girls Strike Back! (cross-posted w/nerdbastards.com) These are the girls of every little gamer boy’s nightmare. They’ll have him quivering in his overpriced skater shoes, which, ironically, have never touched the griptape of a board. Previously seen in their first video, XBox Girls Get Revenge from College Humor, the girls are back to teach a sad, pathetic boy the meaning of abuse. You...

Great fan trailers and a sexy Wii party game?
Above, ”Pikachewee, I Choose You!” by David Staffell A little link round-up,  Breaking! New Trailer for Ghostbusters 3! Yea…not so much. But it is a funny fan made video with terrible acting/writing but impressive props and effects. Worth a viewing. You Got Shaun of the Dead in my Dead Island You got Dead Island in my Shaun of the Dead! Clever video of a gripping,...

An open letter to Nathan Fillion By science... →
fuckyeahjosswhedon blogged: Mr. Fillion, First, I have to say that I admire your work. I’ve read many of your interviews and have come to respect you not only as a truly fine actor, but as an uncommonly intelligent human being. But let’s get straight to the heart of the matter. It has come to my attention that in a recent interview, you said the following: “If I got $300 million from the...

'Green Lantern: Emerald Knights' Trailer
(cross-posted on nerdbastards.com) Yesterday we saw the release of the most recent DC Animated film, All-Star Superman (which I reviewed overhere) and boom, just like that we’ve got the trailer for the next film. Green Lantern: Emerald Knights will be an anthology of tales, much like Batman: Gotham Knights, and will tell the stories of six of the most famous Green Lanterns. And apparently if...

Holy Lack of Batman (1960s) on DVD!
I searched on Amazon and found no collection of episodes from the original series. Sadness. I remember watching them on VHS as a wee tyke, what I’d give to have those tapes now! All that comes up when I search is the movie, which I already own, or this documentary which I’m sure contains clips from the series but no full episodes. Anyone familiar with somewhere I could snag some...

Review: All-Star Superman
Doomed Planet. Desperate Scientists. Last Hope. Kindly Couple. Finally got my hands on a copy of All-Star Superman and it’s magnificent!  Superman’s last adventure is truly an epic, thrilling tale, just like you’d hope it to be. I must admit I have not read Grant Morrison’s and Frank Quitely’s 12-issue series this film is based on. Blasphemy, I know. Don’t worry, that will be quickly...

Whatchoo been writin'?
I’m officially a nerdy bastard!! Well, I always was, but now I’m an official contributer over at nerdbastards.com. I’m really excited to be writing for geeky news blog (other than my own, of course) and I hope I can keep up with the work load. So here’s some of what I’m talking about over at NB, Dead Island Trailer Leads to a Big Movie Deal Got a Couple Million...

10 Things You Didn't Know About Batman →
You know, it would be a massive volume, but it would be crazy awesome to read every Batman story. Particularly some of the really zany ones outlined in this article from io9.

Why I'll miss Dwayne McDuffie →
dcwomenkickingass blogged: Because he had a vision of comic superheroes for kids and people of all races. And he made it happen. I’ve told this story before, but I will tell it again. When the Hostess cupcakes promotion happened last fall featuring Batman, Superman, Flash and Green Lantern, my friend showed her son the… JLU was one of the best superhero cartoons, hell, superhero...

Links Ahoy!
I mentioned earlier how I’ve secured a gig doing some writing for nerdy news blog, nerdbastards.com (entertainment for the socially awkward!). Well, it seems that a lot of my writing time is devoted there now. But that’s okay, Tumblr is for sharing not boring followers with long text posts. That and silly animal videos. So here I am, sharing some of the stories I’ve been...

How do I get on the Felicia Day Dragon Age workout plan? Seriously, did you see those guns she was sporting last night on Jimmy Fallon? Apparently, I need to start working out with daggers. Have you had a chance to watch the trailer Felicia premiered last night for her newest project, Dragon Age: Redemption? If not, you should head over to nerdbastards.com to watch it.

First Look At Upcoming Game Of Thrones: Genesis →
Seriously!? I didn’t even know there were adapting George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire into a video game. I’m kind of afraid it’ll be complete shit but these preview images look good. Today, the publisher also revealed it will be a real-time strategy game where up to 8 combatants can play simultaneously and decide to win through subterfuge, diplomacy, or force.

Felicia Day does Dragon Age →
Hey Tumblerites! I’ve been doing some guest blogging over at NerdBastards.com, which is why there hasn’t been much blogging here, it’s taking all my wordy energy. But I wanted to let you know so you can read, comment or share around the interwebs some of the nerdy things I’ve been writing about. I’m stoked for a new Felicia-helmed web series. I love that it’s...

Best and worst animated characters, explained →
cyborglovesong: This is a really interesting article. For me, anyway — it explains character design well, and why some designs work and others do not. Fascinating interview! I really recommend you give it a read.
