Batgirl by Stanley “Artgerm” Lau

Seeing how beautiful and awesome this piece is only reminds me of how in to Stephanie’s Batgirl I was getting right before is was all over.

It’s a bummer. A serious bummer.

Minimalist Batgirls? Hell to the yes. Cassie’s is the best.

Because of the huge response to those minimalist Batgirls, I’m considering making prints! Here’s an idea of what they’d look like. Leave a message in my ask if you’d be interested!

Prints, did you say? ::throws money::

Adorable! Since I have this new found love for Stephanie I’m thinking a Robin costume could be in my future. ::Sigh:: Not that I’ve started any of the other costumes I had planned. Need to stop being so lazy.

I finished Batgirl Rising recently. I thoroughly enjoyed it, way more than I was expecting considering I know so little about Stephanie Brown. I’ve become completely enamored with her, she’s hilarious! Also, I can’t help but find myself relating to her time and again. Plus, how cool is it she’s being mentored by the Batgirl, Ms. Barbara Gordon. There’s something we don’t see too often.
Bryan Q. Miller scores some major points for making all the characters in this book sound real and approachable. Stephanie is totally a girl I could hang with, Oracle’s both comforting and serious. The parallels between Oracle/Batgirl and Batman(Dick)/Robin(Damian) are great. Miller’s not the only star, though his writer is amazing, but the artwork of Lee Garbett and Trevor Scott is gorgeous. I know the covers by Dustin Nguyen recieved a lot of attention being so beautiful (which they are!) but the inside of this book looks just as great.
I highly recommend you guys check out this book, stat. It was so good I’m tempted to start picking it up monthly, but I already pull so many comics ::whine::
