Man of Steel Trailer with Williams’ Superman Theme
By now you’ve probably seen the new Man of Steel Trailer which as expected dropped earlier today. It was in my opinion much better than the teaser trailer that ran with TDKR earlier this year and not just because it has women seen and heard (and yay for seeing BOTH of Clark’s moms!) or that it had Lois Lane which ALWAYS makes everything that is Superman better, but because it had more action, less fishing and felt more epic.
Here’s the trailer with the original Superman theme by John Williams. See what you think.
I have to admit I wasn’t “wowed” by the Man of Steel trailer when I first watched it earlier today. I’m honestly just not that big of a Superman fan. I like Supes, but he’s never been a favorite of mine.
I did love this cut of the trailer with John Williams’ famous Superman score, though. Actually, it gave me chills. The score is so iconic part of me wishes they would use it.
But I understand why not, they need to establish this Superman with his own theme, make him iconic in his own way. They didn’t rehash the Danny Elfman Batman theme for The Dark Knight trilogy, and I’m glad they didn’t.
What are your thoughts on the new trailer? Do you like it better - even a little bit? - with the Williams score instead?
This is my favorite Clark.
My favorite part is at the end, when he’s going through each present, looking at them, and saying “lead.”
Christmas specials and episodes are always my favorite. This is a particularly great one.

I love you, Lois Lane and Clark Kent. Forever and ever.
LUNKY BEEFHEAD, a motion comic I made one year ago out of a comic I drew four years ago. Clark & Lois? 4EVER.
This is adorable.
And why aren’t you writing/drawing a Lois & Clark book???
This is adorable and is much needed in light of the recent news.

Yup, I reviewed ‘The Walking Dead’ 100 for Kabooooom! It’s in our new format which is a weekly roundup of shorter reviews. Definitely do no read if you haven’t read the book. It may be short, but I spoil the issue from the get go. How could I not?
If you have read it, please check out my review of the best selling comic of the century, - not kidding, Kirkman must be rolling it - ‘The Walking Dead’ 100.
In other I’ve been writing stuff news, here’s the last of my Comic-Con coverage: SDCC12: Official ‘Man of Steel’ Teaser Poster Revealed! Honestly, I’m not all that excited about ‘Man of Steel.’ I like Superman, but he’s never been a favorite of mine. Though I’ve heard the footage is pretty amazing, and a teaser will play in front of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ which I’m really, really, really, really, really, REALLY excited for. TWO DAYS!
Back to Comic-Con, the great thing about everyone basically carrying around a computer in their pocket is someone films just about every panel and uploads ‘em before the week is out. Here’s three panels I’m sure you’ll wanna watch: SDCC12: Panel Videos for ‘The Hobbit’, ‘Iron Man 3′ & Marvel Studios, Plus ‘Man of Steel’. The ‘Iron Man 3’ and Marvel panel I really suggest you watch, if only for this:
Seriously, the man is Tony Stark. And, uh, I guess I’ve just shared the best part of the panel, but still, check ‘em out if you’ve got the time.
If you think RDJ had a blast at Comic-Con, then you need to check in with Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, and Arthur Darvill. From everything I saw they simply had the best time at the con. Here’s their Q & A from Nerd HQ’s on Saturday night, which thanks to the live feed I was able to catch live,
Thanks to Karen, I’m now working on my own Dalek impression, and I’ve gotta say, it ain’t bad. I have heard a lot of Daleks in my time, so it’s not something I’m unfamiliar with.
Speaking of ‘Doctor Who’, they also had an official panel on Sunday where Steven Moffat was his usual, sneaky bastard self and was teasing fans with hints. Like that we’ll learn the Doctor’s name, the answer to the ultimate question, Doctor Who? You can watch the whole panel at the link.
And finally, I feel as if I’ve been reporting on this forever, but guess what? There’s more rumors around Benedict Cumberbatch’s villain in ‘Star Trek 2.’ Mainly, that we’re all wrong. Roberto Orci sets us straight, but he does confirm Cumberbatch’s character is someone from ‘Star Trek,’ so we’ve met him before. Gah! Who can he be?! The suspense is killing me. Only 10 months to wait!
The Daly Show: Episode 7: “The Daly Superheroes” with NATHAN FILLION
The Daly Show is a web series starring actor Tim Daly and his son, Sam Daly. Honestly, I’d never heard of it till now but I’m pretty sure this video will make me an avid watcher. This is gonna be the funniest thing you watch today. Nathan Fillion guest stars in this episode, which is how it came to my attention.
That, and it’s about super heroes.
It’s important to note Tim Daly is the voice of Superman and Nathan Fillion is the voice of Green Lantern in the new DC Animated film, Justice League: DOOM. Released on Blu-ray & DVD yesterday as well as being reviewed by me, over at Nerd Bastards.
I’m still laughing.
This is just nuts! You gotta watch it.
Max Landis explains the ridiculous event, The Death of Superman in this hilarious short that’s about as insane as the original premise to kill Superman.
Featuring such famous faces as Mandy Moore, Simon Pegg and Elijah Wood as Cyborg Superman.
