It’s a little late for a Christmas gift, but it’s received with great joy nonetheless. George R.R. Martin has released a new excerpt from The Winds of Winter, the sixth book in the sprawling A Song of Ice and Fire series. Not sure if you’re aware of this or not, but this series has received a ridiculous amount of buzz lately. Unless you’ve been living under a rock you know HBO has adapted the first book, A Game of Thrones into an incredibly popular television series, with the second season premiering in April. There’s also a few video games on the way, including an RPG developed with Martin’s input. Which had me wondering, with the all the support he’s given to HBO’s series, time spent developing video games, and even working on a Game of Thrones comic book where will he find the time to finish the damn books…
