In today’s edition of 11 Days of Who I shared this adorable cosplayer, who for Halloween dressed as ALL 11 DOCTORS!
Tiny Whovian, FTW.
This Harley Quinn is stunning! The latex works really well for this sort of body suit. She looks like she’s straight outta the comic!

In where I begin managing a new feature on Nerd Bastards: Real Heroes of Cosplay! In this bi-weekly column we’ll be talking to our favorite cosplayers—YOU!
Yes, you, out there, mindless scrolling through your dashboard. If you’d like to be featured in the Real Heroes of cosplay send me a message!
In where the backstory behind the group of Whovians who stirred things up on SyFy's Heroes of Cosplay was brought to my attention and I wanted to do my best to present both sides of the debacle.
In case my stand on it isn’t perfectly clear…
I don’t care WHAT SIZE you are - if you want to cosplay, do it. If the person cosplaying doesn’t fit your particular ideal of a character, that’s fine, but try and keep your comments civil. I’ve seen a number of negative comments online about some SDCC costumes, and it makes me so sad and angry…
Do you know how long some people work on costumes? Do you know the guts it takes to walk out onto a crowded floor, surrounded by strangers in something you have never shown anyone before? I promise you, every cosplayer is going to be super critical of every picture they see, and worry themselves to death over angles and details later, so why add to that stress? Just like real life, you can have a thousand comments about how great you look showing off a new haircut or t-shirt, but the one you’ll remember is the negative bombshell.
I choose to do characters that suit my body type - I don’t see me doing Wasp or Kitty Pryde any time soon, because I’m a ginormous beast of a woman, and just don’t see me pulling them off, but that’s MY personal choice. I’m not knocking anyone else cosplaying whatever they damn please, because we’re all goofballs playing dress up and celebrating being giant dorks in name of having a good time.
So seriously, interwebz, yank your underoos out of your collective butt and calm down.
i have yet to see a Guy TARDIS or Dalek and the idea of being either for comic con this year intrigues me *takes notes from these two*
Saw a dude TARDIS at Dragon*Con. I believe this one, in fact. Never a Dalek dude, unless they were actually inside or controlling a Dalek. They are so dapper, I love this.
Finally, better late than never, it’s my recap of Gallifrey One!
I had such a good time at this con mingling with all my fellow Whovians. I already know I want to go next year, whether it’ll be financially feasible is another question.
Please go check out my recap on Nerd Bastards for all the awesome cosplay I saw— well, actually, it’s a fraction of what I saw but it’s what I managed to photograph. Seriously, Who cosplayers are a mighty impressive group.
Plus, I’ve included some video of the Daleks who crashed the con, Steven Moffat's exclusive Gally interview, and the audio trailer for Big Finish's upcoming 50th Anniversary special, The Light at the End.
2013 is going to be such a big year for Doctor Who!
