Oh man, I feel as if I’m still recovering from Dragon*Con. Four days of sleeping too little, eating the worst food, and drinking far, FAR too much does not do a body good. I regret nothing! Cannot wait to go again next year, you should all join me!

I live-tweeted much of my Dragon*Con experience and shared pictures here, so I hope everyone got a taste of what Dragon*Con has to offer. I put “complete” in quotes because I had major reporter fail. I bought a little memo book in where I jotted down Twitter handles, email addresses, and the like to give credit and contact people after the con. And then I lost it. FAIL! This is what I get for trying to do things old school with pen and paper. It’s another win for the technological age.

Since I’ve been recovering from the con I haven’t had much time for anything outside of my usual reporting. I’m hoping to tackle more writing this week with continuing my ‘Walking Dead’ analysis and more comic book reviews. In the meantime I did write up a little thingy about Star Trek’s 46th anniversary. So, there’s that.

• trick yourself into thinking the rest will go as well

• cry
• put it away for a while
• get inspired and start again
• fuck up again
• cry some more
• go completely broke
• put it away until the week before the con
• panic
• panic a lot
• that’s not enough I mean REALLY PANIC
• throw up
• cry as you sew in your hotel room at the convention the night before the con
• resort to a hot glue gun
• somehow you end up with a cosplay
• enjoy your cosplay

Finally! All the my photos from Dragon*Con 2011.

Oh, right. I should talk about Dragon*Con, shouldn’t I?

So, yes. This was my first year to attend Dragon*Con and it was a motherf*cking blast! Really no other way to put it.

Hmm, where do I begin? How about the costumes because cosplay at Dragon*Con is un-freaking-believable! I’ll be uploading all my photos soon. Once I figure out where to post them since I’m well beyond my 200 image limit for a free Flickr account. I promise, a link will be forthcoming.

What I can do in the meantime for those craving this epic delight of cosplay is direct you to the first of my Dragon*Con recap posts over at Nerd Bastards: Nerd Bastards’ Dragon*Con 2011 Cosplay Feast. That will have to do until I can figure out where to post all my pics. Suggestions welcome. I shudder at the idea of using Facebook.
