I am still on the fence about what to think of Man of Steel, but damn, this moment in the trailer. TEARS.

Always with the orange and blue. Hollywood, learn a new color palette. Still, no less excited for Catching Fire.It involves science! And a color wheel! And old-fashioned Hollywood “eh, it worked last time.”
Why the New ‘Hunger Games’ Movie Is Orange and Blue
Yes, while televisions are moving to ultra high definition and video games are set to debut entire new standards in graphics this summer, Hollywood has decided to simplify, and all future movies will be light blue and orange. You may remember that we previously pointed this out as one of the annoying trends that make every movie look the same.

Say Hello to Your Cinematic Justice League| Meet the Witches in This New Oz: The Great and Powerful Featurette| George R.R. Martin Working on – Wait for it – A Song of Ice and Fire Prequel
That Justice League news was unexpected, and while it’s still a rumor it seems to be a pretty solid one. Unsurprisingly the team lineup is Supes, Bats, Wondy, Flash, and GL. I’m shocked, WB, shocked. Though in all seriousness, I’m disappointed there’s no Aquaman. Come one, give him a break! He’s proven lately he’s not as lame as everyone always thought.
Even more unexpected, GRRM is writing something that isn’t The Winds of Winter!? What the fuck, George!? This prequel novella sounds awesome ‘cause it’s all about the Targaryen Civil War, known as the Dance of the Dragons, but still, it ain’t The Winds of Winter. Dude, HBO is gonna catch up faster than you think.
I also want to draw you attention to this insane bit of news: J.J. Abrams is directing Star Wars Episode VII. I know! Who would have thought we’d ever live in a world where one man would be in control of both Star Trek and Star Wars!? What’s next, Whedon directing Justice League?
Filming Begins on S.H.I.E.L.D. TV Show – Nerds Everywhere, Rejoice!| Doctor Who Returns March 30th| RUMOR: We Might See a Batman Film in Theatres by 2017
Easily the best news I heard today was Doctor Who’s return on the 30th. Especially when you consider Game of Thrones begins the next day, March 31st. What a spectacular weekend that’s shaping up to be!
Now, a new Batman movie in 2017? That, I’m less excited about. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE BATMAN. But, I’d rather see a new animated series over a new movie franchise. Batman will already be appearing in the Justice League movie, which is cool, but when Warner Bros. has so many other superheroes who deserve the movie treatment, can’t Batman take a little break?
UPDATE! River Song Joining ‘Arrow’ as Laurel’s Mother, Dinah Lance!

Just a few today, but if you’ve any interest in all the wild theories about who Benedict Cumberbatch’s villain really is, definitely check out that last article. It’s a weird one, I’ll admit, but hell at this point who knows who John Harrison is!?! Could be just who he says he is. Some still think it could all tie back to Khan.

The more of I’ve read about this upcoming Dracula mini series the more I like. Now that they’ve got de Gouw starring opposite Jonathan Rhys Meyers I have reason to be generally excited. Here’s hoping it doesn’t suck, and that it doesn’t keep de Gouw away from Arrow. I really dig her Huntress.
And a Zombieland TV show? I’m totally down. Television could always use more zombies, and a comedy as opposed to a drama is definitely welcomed.
Well I’ve started this year off with a bang. First day back to work and, BAM, posted five articles. I’d like to think I’m setting a precedent for the rest of my year, but I doubt it. This spurt of productivity is surely a fluke.

Man of Steel Trailer with Williams’ Superman Theme
By now you’ve probably seen the new Man of Steel Trailer which as expected dropped earlier today. It was in my opinion much better than the teaser trailer that ran with TDKR earlier this year and not just because it has women seen and heard (and yay for seeing BOTH of Clark’s moms!) or that it had Lois Lane which ALWAYS makes everything that is Superman better, but because it had more action, less fishing and felt more epic.
Here’s the trailer with the original Superman theme by John Williams. See what you think.
I have to admit I wasn’t “wowed” by the Man of Steel trailer when I first watched it earlier today. I’m honestly just not that big of a Superman fan. I like Supes, but he’s never been a favorite of mine.
I did love this cut of the trailer with John Williams’ famous Superman score, though. Actually, it gave me chills. The score is so iconic part of me wishes they would use it.
But I understand why not, they need to establish this Superman with his own theme, make him iconic in his own way. They didn’t rehash the Danny Elfman Batman theme for The Dark Knight trilogy, and I’m glad they didn’t.
What are your thoughts on the new trailer? Do you like it better - even a little bit? - with the Williams score instead?
