w0ot! Episode IV of Nerds Say What!? is now available for your listening pleasure! We’re also available on iTunes, so if that’s your podcasting preference search us up, subscribe, and please, if you like what you hear give us a rating. Thanks!
It’s Leap Day! Or…at least it was when we recorded, and maybe since it was a fake day that’s why we all sound so tired. Or it could have been us recording late at night.
Either way, we’ve got an episode full of silly, nerdy discussion. Here’s the breakdown:
03:47 New ‘Avengers’ trailer
11:43 Those leaked pics and video from ‘Star Trek 2’
16:02 What’s the best order to view ‘The Star Wars Saga?
32:53 Noah’s excited about Mass Effect 3(Music by Delta 5)
We caught this week’s return of AMC’s The Walking Dead, did you?
This episode is devoted to discussing the mid-season premiere, “Nebraska.” What will eventually happen to Shane? How are Rick, Herschel and Glenn going to get out of that messy situation? And seriously, Lori, what the fuck were you thinking?!
For answers to these questions and more excessively spoiler-y talk about The Walking Dead hit play!
Episode 2 - Before Spartacus, There Was The Game of the Walking Dead!
Huh? What? Yeah, that’s me attempting to be clever with an episode title, in where I just mash all the topics together. How am I doing?
Anyway, here’s our episode breakdown of what we talked about:

It’s the inaugural episode of Nerds Say What!? Meet Sarah, Jonnie and Noah. Three nerds who talk about things. Things you like! Movies. Video games. TV. Comic books. Not necessarily in that order or with thoughtful commentary. In this episode they talk about their formative nerd years (Batman! Star Trek! Star Wars!), what they’re excited for in 2012 (The Avengers! Diablo III! Mass Effect! Futurama! Game of Thrones!) and generally get off topic with the tendency to ramble.(Music: Mind Your Own Business by Delta 5)
Yup, my friends and I have recorded a podcast. We’re hoping to begin by having episodes published bi-weekly eventually moving into weekly. This is our first episode, as in first podcast any of us have ever recorded. We had a lot of fun so I hope people have fun listening.

There are two cool things I enjoyed this weekend. So much so, I thought, hey I should, like, tell people about them. Today, I recommend these things you should totally check out:
HOLLYWOOD BABBLE-ON #43: BABBLE-ON COMICCON THEATRE
If you’re unfamiliar, Hollywood Babble-On is a weekly podcast of Kevin Smith and Ralph Garman reporting on the show business news of the previous week. It’s hilarious, vulgar and probably the absolute best way to get your celebrity news if you’re into that kind of thing. (Guilty.) Actually, even if you loathe gossip rag news, the show is really effin’ funny.
They’ve now produced a sub-show called Babble-On ComicCon Theatre in where they perform comic books, radio style, sort of. To begin, they’ve presented the first issue of Smith’s own comic, Batman: Cacophony. (To avoid being sued, because as you’ll learn they aren’t exactly faithful. Exactly.) I really dug Cacophony and it’s sequel The Widening Gyre. And I might be one of the few who did. I like Smith’s comics, I like his movies and his comics are just a fun, non-canon, adventure of how Smith would envision the Dark Knight. They’re also hilarious. Particularly his Joker, he cracks me up.
It’s even funnier when you hear Ed Wynn as the Joker. Yep. I’m serious. Garman has some damn incredible, spot-on impressions. Seriously, Google him. If you’re lucky find a video. You’ll be shocked at all the voices coming out of his mouth. Wynn is a favorite of his, as is Adam West. If you ever thought West playing a darker Batman would kick-ass then do yourself a HUGE favor and give this podcast a listen.
THE NERDIST WAY BY CHRIS HARDWICK
I currently have this out from the local library, y’know that place where they let you read their mass collection of books for FREE. In my library’s case you can even borrow e-books. It’s the future, man. Anyway, I’ve got this book out right now, The Nerdist Way by Chris Hardwick. It’s basically a manual for a way to take all your nerdy, geeky idiosyncrasies and get them to work for you instead of against you. It’s also really freakin’ funny, coming from a comedian and all. (You might notice I like funny things. Funny is good. Best news source? Daily Show & Colbert Report.)
I’m totally excited to start my character tome, which is a book you create to RPG your life! I know, rad right? You create your character, yourself, decide what your characteristics are, what are your strengths, weaknesses and map out goals to achieve as you would a video game progress bar. You can even level up and earn experience points and stuff. It might sounds silly, but hell if turning my life into a game keeps me focused enough to actually accomplish something, then fuck yeah, I’m doing it.
Well, I’m not really “currently” watching, because this web series’ episodes tend to run pretty short. But today is the release of another new episode of The Guild’s fifth season! Currently availble over at Xbox Live, but come Thursday you can watch it on Bing and MSN.

You can aslo catch up on past seasons of The Guild through their site and Netflix Instant.
What I am currently listening to is the newest Nerdist Podcast. If you’re unfamiliar it’s a weekly podcast of Chris Hardwick, Matt Mira and Jonah Ray, as well as dozens of your favorite geeky celebs. This week’s episode is something special. At SDCC Chris Hardwick moderated The Walking Dead panel and now you can listen to it, in full audio, oooh aaah.
