I'm a great appreciator. I report nerdy news for Nerd Bastards. I occasionally review comics for Kabooooom!. Here is where I fangirl. Hard.
Trekmovie.com article. ***Includes spoilers so beware***
As reported first by TrekMovie, a longer trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness will be showing next weekend. However, that trailer previewed today at the “Butt-Numb-A-Thon” 24 hour movie event in Austin, Texas. The first descriptions of that are now showing up. See below (but beware of spoilers).
Everyone enjoying the Olympics? I’ve been pretty consumed, I must admit. And any time not spent watching the Olympics has been comprised of reading up on the Mars rover, Curiosity. I’m sure you’ve seen my posting about that.
But anyway, moving on from incredible achievements of the body and mind, here’s what I’ve been reporting on lately. There’s yet another possible title for the third ‘Hobbit’ movie. I sure hope Peter Jackson knows what he’s doing. Promising us a third movie is big, and expectations are incredibly high. If it doesn’t live up to ‘Lords of the Rings’? Oh god, the nerd outrage will be unbelievable.
And this isn’t in anyway a sequel, but the next film from ‘Fanboys’ director, Kyle Newman will be a comedy/biopic about Peter Mayhew -y’know, Chewbacca - called ‘Chewie’. It sounds awesome, and they really couldn’t have picked a better guy for the job. Have you seen ‘Fanboys’? Do yourself a favor and check it out. It’s one of the best ‘Star Wars’ movies of the past 13 years. Easily.
So, ‘Doctor Who’, I absolutely adore it and its popularity is exploding! I’m sure you’ve already see the crazy promo pic for series seven as well as that kick-ass trailer. It’s been everywhere.
Why not watch it again!
Oh man, I can’t believe they still haven’t announced an official return date! Need. Doctor. Who. NOW.
What is Nerds Say What!? you ask? It’s a half-brained, half-assed podcast hosted by myself, my boyfriend Jonnie (@Mallrat667), and our friend Noah (#NonTweetingNoah). If it’s nerdy, we talk about. Movies, Video Games, Television, Comic Books - you’ll find any and all discussed on our podcast.
Back from an unexpected hiatus we’ve got TWO, count ‘em, TWO new episodes. The first is an oldie but still a goodie, it’s out Comic-Con coverage wrap-up. The second is our ‘Dark Knight Rises’ review, The Dark Knight Rambles. Try as we might we can’t stay on topic at all during this review, but I think you’ll find it entertaining anyway.
Give a listen and let us know what you think! Either leave a comment on the podcast’s blog or a review on iTunes.
BBC has some AMAZING new dramas coming this season and I simply cannot wait! Especially for ‘Parade’s End’ - Benedict Cumberbatch, how can I refuse you!? - and ‘The Girl’ about Alfred Hitchcock, Tippie Hedren, and filming of ‘The Birds’
It makes me sad that most American television really pales in comparison.
I watched and am now reblogging. This is awesome! I love that freakin’, catchy tune so much. It’s the only thing that could make The Avengers even more insanely great than its already going to be.
Oh, it is so bad. Clearly it’s being marketing to kids, but this trailer is cringe-worthy!
Huh, kind of like Episode I.
Which, I know I’ll still see in 3D when it releases. I just plan on being ridiculously drunk and yelling rude comments at the screen. Don’t worry, I plan on going to a kid-free screening.
